Lesson Three- Drawing a Portrait Pick someone good looking! Lightly draw the outlines. Draw in short, straight lines to show contours. A ruler can help! Lightly shade in darker areas Keep using a ruler as a guide for distances of features. Add layers of shade. Go over and over to form very dark bits and redefine lines. Pay particular attention to details.
