ESNLC could not operate without the assistance of our many volunteers. There are some volunteers that have been with us for a long time, but many others have moved on in search of their dreams. We are always in the lookout for people who can assist us to keep the operation running. Please read below to find out if you could spare some time to share your skills and interests to help us:

Volunteer positions

Currently to be a volunteer in an ESL classroom there is a wait list. This opportunity is popular as volunteers are looking to expand their experience. We support our volunteers with training and placement will be in an English class with one of our teachers. Please send your CV to join the waitlist and a letter stating what your interest is, if it is English education or literacy or conversation.
There are also options for native speakers to set-up conversation classes under the supervision of the Education Coordinator.
If you have administrative skills we are also in need of a helping hand every now and then. We have had volunteers who come for an afternoon or a morning to help us with office tasks.

As the volunteer facilitator of our computer club and someone able to assist users of the internet cafe, Chris makes a substantial, helpful and much appreciated contribution to ESNLC.

We use becollective.com as our volunteer coordination platform. If you are interested in volunteering you can create a profile and join our group “Elwood St Kilda Neighbourhood Learning Centre”. From there we will notify you of all volunteer opportunities available.
