Community Workshops Series

Do you have a special a skill or talent that you would like to share with others?

Well, you’ve come to the right place!

Our wonderful community in Elwood and surrounds is full of talented and knowledgeable people who are willing to share their skills through volunteering or for a fee. Perhaps you have interest in a start-up business or need a space to build on an existing business.

Here at Elwood St Kilda Neighborhood Learning Centre we have the ideal learning hub and facilities to help you shine like a bright star.

There are two options you can take:

Option 1: Community Workshops Series

Be a part of our Community Workshop Series that we advertise quarterly in our program. You can choose to teach a one off workshop (1-8 hours) or deliver a 4-6 week series at no cost to you as a volunteer. We then charge participants a nominal fee of either gold coin or small note to cover overheads.

This option allows you to build a client base, showcase your skills or give back to your community. Participants that join the workshops have the advantage of affordable learning whilst making friends and sharing.

There are some conditions that apply to this option; your offerings need to be in line with our mission and vision and there will be no hard selling of products or other services allowed.

Option 2: Fee for service agreement

If you take this option it is because you are ready to roll and may have clients already up your sleeve. The participants pay you directly and you manage bookings and your own advertising. We can add you workshop on our program for free but we cannot guarantee readership.

Costs will be for room hire which vary depending on your needs. We provide you a quote of affordable rental fees for the space and you sign a rental agreement that outlines terms and conditions of rental.

Hopefully, with all the easy parking, great facilities and the good vibe of the House you will rake it in and be another successful Elwoodian!
