4 week beginner course that teaches your child to make a website using HTML and CSS.

Course Details

During this course your child will learn how to write HTML & CSS code to build a website from scratch. The classes are both educational and fun and your child will love to see their creation come to life!

Web development is a booming industry and only getting bigger. It’s constantly moving and it’s an exciting time to be a part of it. This course will help give your child a head start and provide a taste of programming.

There is no previous experience required and parents are welcome to stay if they wish.

Topics covered:

  • Fundamentals of the internet and websites
  • HTML & CSS rules and syntax
  • Adding blocks of text, headings and paragraphs
  • Changing font types and sizes
  • Inserting images
  • Creating menus and linking pages
  • Adding colour and themes
  • Using various elements to layout a page

Duration

4x 1.5 hour classes (one a week for 4 weeks)
